GIVING BACK TO THE LAND
The Santi Giacomo e Filippo estate was born from a profound desire to carry out a careful conservative restoration, which has brought new life to an area that in the 15th and 16th centuries was a share farming community. The principle behind our restoration work is that human intervention, if guided by love for nature, can improve the surrounding landscape.

THE VILLAGE AND ITS HISTORY
Respect for the territory is the main principle which inspired the decision to apply organic architecture and to use natural materials and to adopt environmentally friendly systems for energy production.
Within the estate you can still see the ruins of several tower-houses, among them Ca’ Lombaia, Ca’ Lanciamolino or Ca’ Rosello, symbols of the process of land divisions into farms in the Middle Ages, when the city tower was transferred outside the walls to protect crops and fields, a silent witness of the peasants’ pride to which homage is paid in the Estate logo.

TheMontefeltrois a historical territory that lies between three Italian regions (Marche, Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna) and which owes its strong identity to the Renaissance age and to its incredible developments in art, human sciences and landscaping. Our hills are themselves a work of art, reproduced in the canvases of the most famous painters of the time and our intention is precisely to bring back to life a part of the landscape that inspired Renaissance masters of art.
